So instead of picking a relaxing project for my self directed class, I decided to make this monster branding project for an imaginary clothing boutique. These are some pages from the lookbook/promotional publication I’m creating for SUPER EXTRA MORE.
I had a lot of fun dragging my pretty friends up to the batteries at Port Townsend for the photos. The idea behind all this is mirror imaging but the reflections are actually different photos/models.

This is the newsletter I designed (pretty much today) for the Suquamish Museum project in Advanced Design.
I’ve been working on mostly making display type and type decorations based on the grid and patterns of Suquamish imbricated baskets. My goal is to have a clean and professional identity and promotional items informed by the traditional arts of the Suquamish Tribe.
Let’s call this a rough draft. I haven’t quite gotten to color choices yet.

So, today, our painting instructor played a compilation of surf-rock from Thailand. So, I thought it was pretty fresh. So, I looked it up and stumbled over the amazing gem of a website called http://radiodiffusion.wordpress.com/ . It’s somebody’s huuuuuge collection of funk, country, psych, surf influenced music from around the world, mostly the Middle East and Asia. And, you know, it’s also a fantastic collection of album art:
